My film First Winter Last has made it to the Quarter Finals of Radio Canada International's Migr@tions Competition and will be screening on the Internet October 30-November 7. The five highest rated English films from this week will proceed to the semi-finals, so please view and vote for my film!

Migr@tions is an online contest presenting short films and podcasts from 22 countries on the theme of immigration issues.  First Winter Last is about a young Filipina girl who, in her first winter in Canada, falls into the eyes of a dead crow.

My other short film, In Control won the "Making a Difference - Best Children's Film Award" at the 2008 Commffest Film Festival in Toronto. The film is about a young boy who resorts to his remote control to cope with the painful experience of domestic violence.

In Control is having its British Columbia premier at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival on Friday, Nov. 7, 7:00pm, at the Cinemark Tinseltown Theatre, 88 West Pender Street. It will open for the feature length film Santa Mesa. For tickets info please visit the VAFF online box office.

I will be performing with fellow emerging Asian comics and two of the best Asian Comics in Canada,
